Mental Health & Wellness Educator – YSC Academy | Founder – The Wilford Movement

Keith WIlford

Keith Wilford is a Mental Health & Wellness Educator, coach, and speaker with over two decades of experience supporting the personal and emotional development of student-athletes, leaders, and high performers. Currently serving as the Director of Mental Health and Wellness at YSC Academy, Keith works at the intersection of psychology, education, and athletics—helping young people build the mindset, habits, and emotional intelligence needed to thrive both on and off the field.

Keith’s work is grounded in one mission: to hel p people strengthen what matters most on the inside. He has spent the last 20+ years mentoring students, athletes, coaches, and professionals—equipping them with tools to manage stress, build confidence, improve self-awareness, and live with purpose. His background in counseling and education gives him a rare ability to translate mental wellness into actionable strategies that resonate across age groups and performance environments.

A former All-American lacrosse player at Widener University, Keith understands performance from the inside out. He’s competed at high levels, led teams, and walked through adversity—giving him a deep appreciation for the mental demands that come with competition, leadership, and transition. That athletic experience fuels his work today, allowing him to connect authentically with student-athletes and professionals navigating pressure, doubt, identity, and change.

As a coach and speaker, Keith is known for his energy, empathy, and ability to create safe spaces for real growth. He delivers powerful talks and workshops on emotional regulation, confidence building, mental wellness, and leadership development—meeting people where they are, and guiding them toward who they’re becoming. His message blends personal story with practical insight, offering a voice that is both motivating and deeply grounded.

Keith has spoken at schools, universities, athletic programs, and organizations across the country, working with athletes, coaches, educators, and business leaders who are ready to take their mental game seriously. He’s partnered with programs such as Philadelphia Union (MLS), USA Lacrosse, and multiple NCAA and youth sports organizations to bring mental wellness education into high-performance cultures. His impact is felt in the way he listens, challenges, and calls people to something higher—without ever sacrificing compassion.

Beyond the stage and classroom, Keith is a mentor, husband, father, and a man of faith. His personal journey through injury, recovery, identity shifts, and leadership change has shaped his commitment to helping others navigate life with resilience and clarity. He’s not just teaching wellness—he’s lived the ups and downs that make it essential.

Keith’s philosophy is simple but powerful: mental wellness is not a luxury. It’s a foundation. Whether you’re a teenager trying to find your confidence, a coach leading under pressure, or a professional navigating burnout, your mindset matters—and your ability to care for it directly impacts how you perform, how you relate, and how you lead.

In a world that rewards doing, Keith invites people to slow down, reflect, and build from within. He helps people get back to the basics—sleep, breath, gratitude, focus—and then challenges them to level up with intentionality and integrity. His work is about transformation that lasts: not just hype or quick wins, but the daily work of becoming someone you’re proud to be.

At Shift Summit 2026, Keith will bring his expertise and insight to the conversation around emotional resilience, confidence, and what it truly means to win from the inside out. His presence is both grounding and energizing—and his message is one every leader, athlete, and growth-minded human needs to hear.

More Than an Event. A Mission.

Shift Summit isn’t just about gathering high performers in one room — it’s about supporting those we believe in. This year, we’re proud to partner with Talons Reach Foundation, a nonprofit that serves active and veteran Special Operations Forces who’ve been morally, mentally, or physically wounded. These men and women have carried the weight of elite service — often at great personal cost — and Talons Reach helps them reconnect, recover, and regenerate through mindfulness, community, and care.

A portion of all Shift Summit ticket sales will be donated directly to Talons Reach Foundation.

This is our way of giving back to those who never asked — but who always showed up. When you buy a ticket, you’re not just investing in yourself. You’re standing with a mission that helps some of the strongest among us heal with strength, clarity, and purpose.
